Introduction

To groom the next generation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) talents in Singapore, AI Singapore (AISG), in collaboration with the Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT), introduces the AISG AI Internship Programme (AIIP). Successful applicants will undergo our 2-phase AI Apprenticeship Programme (AIAP) model (Deep-skilling phase and Project phase). In the Deep-skilling phase, AIIP interns will deepen their AI and Software Engineering proficiency, with the eventual goal of attaining the Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer Certificate. In the Project Phase, AIIP interns will work alongside AISG’s AI Engineers and AI Apprentices on real-world projects with deployment deliverables.

Deep-skilling Phase

Successful applicants will be awarded:

  • One-time exam fee for Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer Certificate
  • One-year subscription fee to Google Cloud Skills Boost
  • One-year subscription fee to Qwiklabs

where they will undergo self-directed learning to deepen their AI and software proficiency and get their gained technical knowledge testified by attaining the Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer Certificate.Deep-skilling Phase

Deep-skilling Phase

AIIP interns will undergo self-directed learning to achieve the required proficiency level in AI and software by attaining the Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer Certificate.

Project Phase

AIIP Interns will be attached to our AI mentors and work on real-world projects that span across AI domains including Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Generative AI (Large Language Model).

  • Internship Period: 3 – 6 Months
  • Monthly Internship Stipends: up to SGD$2,000
  • Primary coding language: Python

Requirements

  • Step 1 – Complete and submit the AIIP application form*
  • Step 2 – Interview with the AIIP Committee

*Only shortlisted AIIP applicants will be invited to the Interview Stage

Timeline

  • Application period: 10th of October 2023 to 13th of November 2023
  • Interview period: 20th of November 2023 to 30th of November 2023
  • Internship period: 15th of January 2024 to 12th of July 2024*

    The internship period is negotiable and is confirmed upon offer, subject to the attainment of Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer Certificate
