NEW! AISG AI Accelerated Masters Programme

The AISG AI Accelerated Masters Programme (AMP) is part of AISG’s Research programme which nurtures local AI talent and fosters interest in advanced fundamental AI research. The AMP empowers students to expedite their academic research journey by obtaining a Masters by Research degree within a year after completing their undergraduate studies in one of the Singapore-based Autonomous Universities (AUs)*. Our hope is that these talents will contribute to the other pillars of AI Singapore, the local AI eco-system and the society.

  • Singaporean applicants only
  • Two years of support in two phases:
    – An allowance support of S$2,000 monthly during their undergraduate period up to a year and;
    – A competitive stipend of up to S$3,500 monthly during Masters period up to a year with full tuition fee coverage for Masters studies
  • Additional benefits include conference allowances, along with other allowances for Masters Dissertation

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be Singaporean
  • Currently in their penultimate (second final year) of undergraduate studies at one of the Singapore-based AUs
  • Must have the intention to pursue a Masters by Research within the same faculty and institution enrolled for undergraduate and 
  • Must demonstrate relevant AI Research Experiences either 
    – by completing at least one academic year of an AI-related project in the UROP or equivalent programmes, OR
    – by completing at least nine months of AI research-based internship/attachment with an AI expert, OR
    – by publishing at least one AI publication in the main fundamental track of an AI conference as the first or co-first author

Application Process

For students: The AI Singapore Accelerated Masters programme is a nomination-based application. The universities will recommend suitable applicants to AISG. Please contact your faculty administrator and/or supervisor to state your interest.

For university faculty administrators: Please reach out to research@aisingapore.org to gain access to the administrator accounts for the application portal.

    a. The application deadline has been extended from 21 May 2024 to 11 Jun 2024. This adjustment aims to allow for more applications to be processed by the various institutions.
